If you get a dialog box saying End Program - XPCOM:Event Receiver then you may be infected by this Vundo variant. Vundo is adware that will display annoying pop-ups to try and get you to buy security software. The pop-ups may state that spyware has been detected on the PC, when in fact the spyware program itself is the only piece of malware on the system.
