Mozzie 1.0 Released

Mozzie is a freeware cookie viewer for the Mozilla and Netscape 6 web browsers. This simple yet useful utility lets you view all set cookies for your user profile. Currently you cannot delete cookies, although this feature may be included in a future release if enough people request it.

The program doesn't need to be installed - just save it anywhere and run it. Download URL:

   Magnus ,

May  I  presume that  "Mozzie 1.0" is the first one of your line of programs  after  "TrojanHunter" and before "WormHunter" ?

Well, it's at least something new to supplement the product line (TrojanHunter has basically been the only product since a few other utilities got dropped (System Information and a few freeware programs)).

"Mozzie" is built for extensibility, and I have plans to make it a full-featured cookie manager for both Netscape, Mozilla and Internet Explorer.

Don't worry though mozar, I haven't forgotten about "WormHunter"  Smiley

Maybe I'm wrong (what's new?!) but this is a different blood-line to the 'Hunter' family - real or otherwise Wink

How does Netscape handle cookies these days? Last time I used it (v3 Gold - ages ago, I know) cookies were stored in a single file, unlike MSIE, where they're separate files stored in a folder. Pros and cons for both - IE can sneak cookies elsewhere, but NS can't easily remove individual ones. Doddle with NS to blitz the whole lot, though, and probably kinder in terms of slack space taken on huge hard drives.

Are you suggesting the product name be changed to "CookieHunter"?  Wink

Sounds a bit too 'Sesame Street', doesn't it?

You could be a bit more left-field and try 'Any Small Kid with a Sweet Tooth'(TM) Cool

  Ian ,

The fertility rate of the Hunter family one day  will surpass the rate of that catholic family in one of Monty Python's films.

    P.S.: When Moozie 1.0 and I.Explorer 6 could work together I will uninstall  my  " Karen's Cookie Viewer ".

Ah - Monty Python's Meaning of Life... Cool Very funny! (if a little gruesome in places)

The attack by the supporting feature was a neat inclusion, plus always remember to avoid the salmon mouse. I remember a guy from college who could make Mr. Creosote look like slimmer of the month.

Re: cookies - I don't accept them all (in fact, hardly any), plus I use a batchfile utility to wipe that folder (index.dat included) for a fresh start every so often.

It may work fine, but it doesn't detect my profile, so it always brings up a blank box.   Could you possibly think about adding either a setting or an auto-search for the proper folder\path so we who don't have things installed in the default locations can change where it searches?

A bit off the subject, but just to mention, no clean up program I use can even find the profile,  window washer freezes, nothing else i tried works.

So far Im doing everythng manually, its not that hard but I'm sure its not a thorough job either Sad

I do like mozzie 1.0

In addition to a blank box, I get this:

Just a note: The Mozzie isn't on the Freeware page. Maybe others would be happy about that Wink.

I'll be back from my very important - a must one Sad - work (probalby) from the 5th of November. I hope i can help in your work, Magnus.

By the way, i've mentioned - long, long time ago.. when Dinosaurs ruled the world Smiley... - that maybe a Language option could be useuful: how about that? Probably you are able to - at least most texts Wink - create a txt format file, where we are able to localize the English language (or to send us texts - personally, i don't need any source - to translate it: so you could create x, y, .. ecw. language versions of TrojanHunter).

'N a note. As firewall creators - BlackICE, Kerio - already had the idea, you could do the same: to create an Edition to server and to any local computers. What I meant: the Administrator could install - usually named.. - spawn Editions to the local computers 'n able to install a main edition to the server (fe: the server is the source of the Internet acccess and all computers are connected with it), where fi. a router is. Hope it was understanable Tongue.

Hi TWN,

Nice to see you're still alive  Wink   I've noted your suggestions. The language/localization issue is the most important one at the moment - I'm still working on that one.
