so no way this is something i did.

but it was not detected by the scanners mentioned in FAQ section .... but my samples are from TH Quarantine .. maybe
thats why online scanners didnt find anything.

Have sent it to analysis please reply .... if this IS a trojan, then that store better close down fast

What was the name of file and the name of trojan that TH found on your new toy?

The above info should be in the TH log at C:\Program Files\TrojanHunter 5.0\Scan Reports

OUCH! This is a False Positive. You need to restore that DLL and reboot your computer. That is a critical DLL for Norton Internet Security. Embarassed

I'll e-mail Gavin on this immediately.

Are you sure you have the latest TH rulesets downloaded? My XP-SP3 system with symlcrst.dll on it is not detecting this as a worm/trojan or anything.

It seems only certain versions have this file, I wonder if perhaps because it is OEM or a slightly older version

Anyway, it should be fixed now and I've added the file to my FP detection test set

But no problem anyway, i handed it in today, because af a malfunction with the sound card, they gave me a new one instead (File was restored in the defect one before handing it in)

So everything had a happy end.
