TrojanDownloader.Agent.1817

I get a detection for this in Windows Vista Home Premium in the Downloaded Program Files folder.
It is showing the program as w4sgeen9.exe/upxrcfsiijg.
In the folder are 3 controls from Microsoft, one for the Adobe flash player and one from the pcpitstop site.
Is this a false positive or do I need to remove one of these.

From everything I see via Google concerning w4sgeen9.exe, this file is not something you want on your system.

Would you please post a HiJackthis scan log and let me see if w4sgeen9.exe shows up in the scan log.  If you do not have HJT on your system, please follow the instructions in the link below to install it.

Also you can clean out the Downloaded Program Files folder by

1.  Go to START and type in   cleanmgr.exe

2.  cleanmgr.exe should appear at the top of the START list.  Right click on it and select "Run as administrator"

3.  Once the Disk CleanUp tool opens, select your C drive.

4.  Checkmark "Downloaded Program Files" which is probably the first option in the list of files to delete.  Checkmark any others in the list that you want to clean.  Personally I have them all checked.

5.  Click on OK at the bottom and it will clean out the selected files.

I removed the pcpitstop control before I had run HiJackThis.
That must have been where the file was. It doesn't show up in the hijackthis log file as far as I can see.

Your log is clean.  I also suspect that the pcpitstop removal cleaned out that file.

The only thing I see in your log is that your java is out of date.  Update 3 is now available for installation.
