Sorry that you got hit by the cyber criminals. Quote:System has picked up Trojan.Clicker.CM virus, Bitdefender 10 has said that it has blocked it and the system is not infected, however, does anyone know how to get rid of it?? Also for info I am running Trojanhinuter 4.6 build 930 which has not picked it up, if you can tell me how to extract if for further analysis I will send it on. |
| I assume that BitDefender 10 has a Quarantine area where it encrypts/locks/stores malicious files that it detects and removes from your system. Is there a Quarantine section of BitDefender that you can display to see what it detected and removed? If you delete that particular quarantined file in BitDefender, it should be then be totally removed from your system. The fact that TH did not "detect" this infection may be that BitDefender detected/trapped it first and then locked the malicous files so that TH could not detect it ( the old "whoever detects first" scenario when using a multi-layered protection group of programs). Then again, TH may not have a specific rule for this specific Clicker variant to detect it at all.
