| Your question is a bit difficult to answer. You could get it from not having the proper security options set in FireFox; not having the needed security plug-ins added into FireFox; from an email download; from not having Windows fully updated; from having downloaded a rogue file; from not keeping your security software updated, from not having good/reliable security software on your system, etc. It could also be a False Positive coming out of your AV program. Keep in mind that using FireFox does NOT make you bullet proof from malware. Having said that, let's see if we can help you get rid of the problem. 1. Clean out junk and temporary files. - Please go to http://www.ccleaner.com and download/install freebie program CCleaner. After you get it installed, close all open windows and browsers. Then run the Cleaner component of CCleaner. It will clean out all your temporary files and junk files. DO NOT run the Issues component of CCleaner. 2. Please go to the link below and make all your files and folders visible so that you see all files and folders on your system. http://www.misec.net/forum/board/FAQ/1139610900 3. Please go the link below and closely follow the instructions to install Hijackthis. http://www.misec.net/forum/board/FAQ/1163329424 4. Please install the Trial version of TrojanHunter. The download link is at the top of this forum. Install TrojanHunter V4.6.930. Then: - Open TrojanHunter scanner. - On the left icon bar, click on the Options icon. Checkmark all options to set them active. - On the left icon bar, click on the Scan icon. Checkmark the disks that you want to scan. - In the top menu bar, click on LiveUpdate. Select the server closest to your location and run LiveUpdate to obtain the very latest rulesets. - Close TH scanner. 5. Reboot your computer into SAFE MODE. The link below shows how to boot into SAFE MODE if you do not know how. http://www.misec.net/forum/board/FAQ/1144043085 6. Once in SAFE MODE, run a FULL Scan of your system using TrojanHunter. - Let TH quarantine/clean what it finds. - Save a log of the scan and cleaning by clicking on FILE in the top menu bar and selecting the Save Log option. - Close TH scan. 7. Reboot your computer back into Normal Mode. 8. Run a Hijackthis scan and post the scan log back here on this thread. 9. Post the cleaning log that you saved from the TH scan/cleaning.
