I had a message from my firewall yesterday saying an application msnsa.com was trying to access the internet.
I done a search for it on my PC and deleted the file.
However when I restarted by PC, I received a message saying that msnsa.com could not be started. I checked my registry startup items with JV Powertools and found two items marked msnsa.com. The description of both was NT Backdoor. I've removed both entries and done a thorough search of the registry to find any more entries.
Does anyone have any more information about what exactly this is?
If you had had a copy of the file stored somewhere, I could have told you what it was, but as it is it's hard to say. The filename could have been arbitrarily chosen, and could basically be any malware or trojan. As far as I know, the name isn't commonly used by any trojan.
