trojanhunter detecting my proxy as a open port?

To whom it may concern
 
I have been very pleased with Trojan Hunter and must say this
is one of the best Scanners I have used thus far. The problem  
I am having though is that I just set up a proxy server which I am using now. After running Trojan hunter the port scan came up with a Port 8000/TCP is open (matches XConsole.100). I looked in the Trojan list and it does have a XConsole.100 listed. I tried disabling my proxy and ran the scan again. This time it came up with nothing in the port scan. I know that the proxy I am using is ok so what would be causing this? I have run a virus scan as well it came up with nothing. Is trojan Hunter just detecting this as a possible trojan being as I am running a proxy which of coarse used a open port and therefore is showing up in the scan or otherwise? Any info on this would be appreciated thanks.

If you know that a legitimate application is holding the port open then there's nothing to worry about. The port scan will tell you if you have any ports open that are known to be used by a trojan, and in this case you have port 8000 open, which the XConsole trojan uses. You could probably change the port your proxy uses to 8080 which is a more common port to use for proxy servers.
