Simplified instructions to upgrade to TH V5.2.987 1. Download the new version of TrojanHunter V5.2. Save it on your Desktop or in your User/Downloads folder. The installer file name is TrojanHunterSetup.exe 2. IF you have Automatic LiveUpdate and/or a Scheduled Scan set up via the Schedule option within TH scanner's GUI, open the TH scanner GUI and unschedule Automatic LiveUpdate and/or Scheduled Scan. This will remove them from your Windows Task Scheduler. 3. Be sure that you have saved off your license file which is file License.tlf 4. Unload THGuard.exe so that it is no longer running in memory. 5. Uninstall TrojanHunter via Programs and Features (Vista & Windows 7) or Add and Remove Programs (XP or earlier). 6. Reboot your computer. 7. After the reboot, using Windows Explorer or Search, search for any folder on your primary hard drive that has the name TrojanHunter. Delete all folders with the name TrojanHunter and TrojanHunter 5.0, 5.1 or 4.x 8. Install the new version 5.2.987 of TrojanHunter. 9. Place (copy/paste) your License.tlf license file in the new TrojanHunter folder at C:\Program Files\TrojanHunter 5.2. 10. Run LiveUpdate to update to the latest Rulesets. 11. Set up your desired Settings in THGuard.exe 12. Set up your desired Options in TH scanner GUI 13. Run a Full Scan of your system to ensure that you are okay. 14. If desired, set up Automatic LiveUpdate and/or Scheduled Scan via the Schedule option in TH scanner GUI Note: If you already have a Beta version of TH V5.2 installed, just unload THGuard and install the final version over the top of the Beta version. Run LiveUpdate.
