Seeing a REAL need for password protection

Due to the fact that anyone might have/get physical access to your computer - and thus be able to both install and allow a program such as a keylogger to run invisibly, defeating your A/V and/or A/T program(s) by granting it permission - don't you think it's about time you maybe added password protection to the TH scanner? So that it couldn't be tinkered with in your absence?

Seems like a slam-dunk to me. Pete

I agree with you Pete.  I've e-mailed Magnus concerning your post/recommendation.

That's great! Thank you, sir.

I know that whatever password mechanism gets put in place wouldn't be un-beatable - but I'm just talking about one good enough to prevent the average "sneak" from being able to disable the program/grant permissions for malware.

Appreciate the quick response. Pete

Are you talking about a password to start the scanner or to change the settings such as for example editing the ignore list?

Hi, Magnus!

I'm referring to password-protecting the main interface of the TH scanner itself, so that the program wouldn't even open unless  you supplied the password (this would be a user-selectable feauture - they'd either password-protect the program or they wouldn't, their choice).

NOD32 has this, as well as SpyCop (and others, I'm sure).

Thank you for looking into it. Pete
