Trojan Hunter Uninstalling

I had emailed the author of this program, but got no response. Tried uninstalling trojanhunter via Control Panel in Windows XP, but it cannot uninstall the program 100 percent. "Remnants" of the program remain in Program Files directory, and if you right-click any folder, "Scan With Trojanhunter" remains. It seems the program does not have a complete uninstall. Any help would be appreciated as I would like to COMPLETELY remove this from my computer. Even after partial uninstall, if I try and delete the folder, something is in resident memory so that I get this message "access denied." VERY ANNOYING.

Welcome to the forum brianc1964

Sorry that you are having trouble removing TrojanHunter from your system.

1.  Reboot your computer into SAFE MODE

2.  Do a search for TrojanHunter

3.  Delete any folder(s) that are named TrojanHunter.  There will probably be two folders with name TrojanHunter to remove.

If you still have trouble removing the main TrojanHunter folder, please do this:

1.  Go to Start>Run

2.  Type in   regsvr32 /u "C:\Program Files\TrojanHunter 5.0\contmenu.dll"

(Note the space before /u and before C:\ )

3.  Click on OK to unregister contmenu.dll and confirm that you want to unregister it.

4.  Reboot

5.  Try to delete the folder again.
