Vista x64 Support?

I've been a happy TH customer for years.
Here we have a system running Vista 64 bit Edition.
I read where TH works with Vista 64 bit and sure enough it does run.

It runs though as a 32 bit application from the Program Files (x86) folder and as a 32 bit process.

Isn't there an inherent problem here?  32 bit applications cannot read into more than 3GB of system memory.  And many workstations running a 64 bit Windows have more than just 3GB of memory.

So TH runs, but it may not be fully protecting a 64 bit system with 3+GB of memory, correct?

Welcome to the forum kfbeaker  Wink

I've e-mailed Magnus concerning your post.

Basically your assumption is correct.  TH has not yet been converted to full 64-bit compatibility.  I'm not sure what Magnus's plans are for implementing 64-bit versions.

Thank you.

I hope he considers a 64 bit version.  Business apps to video games are requiring more and more RAM.  Bet there will be many people going with XP and Vista x64 over the coming year.

An x64 TH would probably pay off in new customers and existing customer retention.  Fingers crossed.
