TH does not want to connect to internet

have uninstalled th5.0 and re-installed and removed avg 7.5 thinking it was the problem but with no avg installed after update of new install of TH5.0 it doesn't want to go back on the web for an update check.
 
same gripe as before i did all the removal.
 
it installs ok, get more than 9 gb of download and installs and then doesn't want to connect:
it says it appears to not have permission to connect to the web.
That's all.

Now it is connecting again and I don't know why it is;
because I haven't done anything to help it connect.

OK;
now I re-installed Grisoft AVG 7.5 anti-malware and I have the same issue again.
 
I'm going to dump this damn AVG 7.5.

It seems that when the recent issue with Firefox and Spybot Search and Destroy were fixed that the issue that I had with TH not accessing the Internet was fixed also.

I just wanted to make sure that everyone knows that I don't think the issue was with my TH 5.0;
It was the problem with the other applications that caused it.
