Lots of errors

Hi I am getting lots of errors when I do a scan, can someone help me please? says error while pre-processing

Hi,
 
Never get these myself.. I have a feeling its antivirus or some other program blocking full access to the file. Can you try a scan with those sorts of programs disabled ?
 
If you have a firewall which includes antivirus, and want to disable it, perhaps disconnect from the internet while scanning just in case Smiley

disconnect from the internet? how does one do that?

I too get the above info message every time I manually scan.  It is nothing to worry about.  This specific TEMP folder has an alternate data stream attached by Windows for whatever reason.  I have deleted the TEMP folder; however, Windows eventually adds it back in.  The ADS is not malicious.

I get two errors (except on a different DLL) such as the one above when I manually scan.  Magnus is trying to isolate and correct this problem that started with V5.0 of TH.  Please submit the following files to Magnus at support@misec.net
 

MSHTML.DLL
0MSHTML.DLL
3MSHTML.DLL
9MSHTML.DLL
 
The link below describes how to submit a file.  Your submittal will assist Magnus in tracking down this new problem.

No, those are the only errors I am getting, they need to fix these error problems they have with this version!
 
When there is a scan performed the scan stays on that certain file, (it freezes) forever..I have to stop the scan.

I do not experience the freezing problem.  Hmmm.   Sad
 
If you schedule a scan via the "Schedule" icon in TH scanner, does it run to completion?  
 
When a scheduled scan is running, you will see file thcl.exe running in memory (view via the Task Manager).  
 
On completion of a scheduded scan by thcl.exe, you will get a log in folder C:\Program Files\TrojanHunter 5.0\Scan Reports.

Same old problems, no change even after un-installing and re-installing..also still freezing on certain files.

There are 3 people who have reported the scanner stopping on the MSHTML.DLL files the last two days. I am still waiting to get a copy of the files and once that arrives I should be able to diagnose and fix the problem.

I hope so, its a horrible thing for things to freeze up like they are. for now I have uninstalled the program, I am not wanting anymore problems until this is fixed. could you please post back here in this thread when it is fixed please?

Let me ask you this, even though I am getting these errors on the full scan...is this affecting the program from working to prevent trojans otherwise? Basically will everything work except the full scan mode for now?

Thanks much for the submittal of the troublesome files.
 
THGuard, your realtime monitor, is in no way affected by this problem.  
 
Have you tried rebooting your computer into SAFE MODE and running a full scan with TH scanner?  If not, please try and report back the results.

Ok, thanks for answering that.....as far as safe mode, yes I did that and no luck, still the same problem, hopefully this will get cleared out soon, I am hoping.
