Gen.dll not valid Windows image???

Just d/l and installed v5.0.0.958, no problem.  But when attempting a full scan, the msg above pops up again and again, so no scan.  Updated to 9/16 rules before I tried a scan.  Rebooted, same.
 
XP Home, nothing else new.
 
Help appreciated.

Very strange. Can you email me the Gen.dll file from your TrojanHunter\RuleFiles folder?
 
If you download http://www.misec.net/rulefiles/Gen.dll and replace your existing one with this, does that solve the problem?

The Gen.dll file you sent is only 66 KB in size. It's supposed to be around 210 KB, so somehow it has become truncated. Did you say this error appeared after a fresh installation of TrojanHunter 5, without having run LiveUpdate?

Fresh install, yes.  But I had just run LiveUpdate before trying to scan.  I will d.l the replacement from the link you posted, and will post result.

Problem solved!  Replacement Gen.dll works.  Sorry I don't know if the truncated file came with the d/l or LiveUpdate.
