Problem - Ruleset update: 25x-2002-04-20

Ruleset update: 25x-2002-04-20 did not install - Live update freeze - could not escape - had to terminate process.
 
2nd update attempt successful.

If you run LiveUpdate.exe with the /debug command line switch it will generate a log file called LiveUpdate.log. If this problem occurs again and you have a log file from when it happens that would really help in diagnosing the problem. I haven't heard of anyone else having this problem to date, so it's hard to say exactly where the problem might lie.

Nice work & fast reaction, Magnus! You do your job really well :]!
 
I neither noticed any problems during updateing: probably you have\had a security software - f.e. application firewall - or a connection with problems (transmission problems). Next time try to ping the server for answers & see the resolution: if all the pings have answers ( meany not xx% or 100% loss ), then you're connections should be ok, else: yo' may have problems with the data-connections anyway.

Meanwhile, I suggest you disable your LiveUpdate server for a moment, and run LiveUpdate from another computer to see if you get a LiveUpdate freeze. I noticed this freeze problem before when your server was down.

"C:\Program Files\TrojanHunter 2.5\Tools\LiveUpdate\LiveUpdate.exe" /debug
 
I have Win98SE, and all I need to do is go to the Start, Run box -- then click on Browse, and browse to the LiveUpdate directory as illustrated in the above path.  Then doubleclick on LiveUpdate.exe, and add the /debug switch at the end of the command line.  Then enter to run the command.

OK. I tried switch on Ruleset update: 25x-2002-04-22
 
Debug log created - no problems with this update.
