Smiley Thanks for the update. Installed and all well!

Huh One for the next update: Can you please rename Live Update to e.g. TH Live Update to avoid confusion with other Live Updaterers?

What sort of confusion is it causing? If it's mentioned anywhere on this board to do a "LiveUpdate" then it's pretty much guaranteed that TrojanHunter LiveUpdate is meant and not something else.

Huh I caused a confusion, I believe.
I was thinking of Live Update.exe to be named e.g. TH Live Update.exe  Cool

This version and previous ones have a minor problem with TG. The systray icon doesn't have any popup help text.

Found another problem with the scanner. It is not finding all multiple file extensions. I have several versions of Ethereal on my HD download folder. The scanner only finds the one in which both apparent file extensions parts have three characters in each. For example, "ffffffff.eee.xxx" is found. Another as "ffffffff.e.xxx" is not found. Some could be double extensions but only the 3 x 3 type are found.

This is by design. When someone tries to trick a user by giving a file double extensions, it's almost always by giving it a ".xxx.yyy" extension (e.g. ".doc.exe"). If TrojanHunter were to warn about all double extensions then every document with a dot in the file name would also be found. So this is the way it should work  Smiley

Is it causing some sort of conflict? I can't really see a reason why it would.

No conflict. If the virus was in the form RECIPE.TX.pif it wouldn't be caught and someone might think it's a text file. That's not the case yet but virus writers will likely try everything.

I believe you read the wrong reply. Please see the one that starts with "This is by design" above.  Smiley
