automatic update

    Hello  Magnus  ,
     I am not able to automatically update TH.Everytime I click the update tab  : " OK   You already have the last update " and in the "Rule Statistic"  : " January 31 , 2002 with  1920 total rules ". I check  in " Trojans " and there are no rules of  AWA.060 , BlueFire 035 , 041 and neither Xanadu 100 .
     Magnus , my TH version is 2.52 / build 575 , I do not use a proxy and all my others programs are automatically updating without problems . Should it be a problem with the server of TH ?
     I think it is better  not manually update TH and  wait for your orientations .

FYI
 
1 - Took 3 attempts using Auto Update and a zip download.
From THG, download runs .. update stalls post download and does not install .. had to manually "stop" THG
2 - Ran update from with TH .. same problem .. stalled after download (was able to exit TH).
3 - Downloaded and did install from ZIP (note that date doesn't change)
4 - Again tried an update from with TH .. successful (note this was an update install over the unzipped update).

If you open up the file thupdate.txt (in the TrojanHunter program directory) in Notepad, what does it say?

Are you getting a full progress bar? What status message does LiveUpdate display when it stalls?

Yes, progress bar is full (right edge). When attempting to end the task using ctrl+alt+del, it does NOT show "Not responding"
so there is no indication.
It may have been a communiction lockup with server. Final handshake ...

I've got the same update problem. The thupdate.txt file is empty. I put in 25x-2002-01-31 but still get the same error message regarding invalid text. The file then shows up empty again. Looks like the one on your end is bad.

    This time , when I tried the automatic update it worked :
 
   " 25x-2002-02-04    /  1933 total rules "
 
    I checked  AWD.060 , BlueFire .035&..041 and Xanadu
    .100 and all have been included in " Rules Statistics "  .
 
 It seems that Automatic Update is now working .

There obviously seems to be a problem with LiveUpdate; I'll take a look at it and if I find the problem today it there'll probably be a fix out tomorrow.
