Trojan Guard still take forever 2 scan openoffice

Does TG still take an eternity to scan the open office folder in the programs folder? It was like that four years ago, and I want to know if it's still stupid like that.

Also when I would tell it to scan a certain area or folder, it wouldn't and would just scan the whole drive or a certain part of the drive, a large part.

I don't remember there being any option to get it to only scan certain sub-folders either, like I couldn't exclude the open office folder or certain file types.

So, when this is changed, let me know, so I can stop losing my temper every time I use it and wishing to send it to Hell.

Welcome to the forum knight  Cheesy

THGuard.exe is the real-time protection module of TrojanHunter.  TrojanHunter Scanner (Trojanhunter.exe) is the GUI scanner that scans files and folders....just for clarification.

There have been many enhancements and changes in TrojanHunter over the last 4 years.  The latest version of TH is V5.2.988.

TrojanHunter has right-click scanning incorporated in the context menu of Windows Explorer.  This permits you to manually scan any file or folder on any of your disks.

TrojanHunter scanner GUI permits you to unselect folders so that folders can be omitted from scans.

There is also an Ignore list that permits you to make TrojanHunter scanner and THGuard.exe ignore executable files from scanning and real-time monitoring.

As far as whether TrojanHunter scanner takes a long time to scan open office folders nowadays, I cannot say.  I do not have such folders on my system to test.

TrojanHunter V5.2.988 is not fully compatible on 64-bit operating systems.  If you are running 64-bit, the link below describes what is not totally functional.

Magnus is currently working on a new version of TH for full 64-bit compatibility.
