TrojanHunter Guard shows as disabled in Vista

Hi All,

I am running Windows Vista and have TrojanHunter installed. In the system tray, the TrojanHunter icon has a red cross over it. When I hover the mouse over the icon, it says 'TrojanHunter Guard is Disabled'. However when I right click on it, the popup window that comes up says it is 'Enabled' Huh Anyone knows what's going on here?

-  What version of TrojanHunter do you have installed?

-  Is TrojanHunter licensed and with a current subscription?

-  Is your Vista OS a 32-bit or is it 64-bit?

-  Is this occurring when you are using an account that has full administrative privileges or is it when you are signed on with a limited account?

-  And finally, is UAC active on your Vista?

The latest version of TH is V5.2.988.  If you are not running the latest version, please upgrade to V5.2.988

Also check Data Execution Prevention

-  Go to Control Panel>System

-  Select "Advanced system settings"

-  Select "Advanced" tab

-  Under Performance, click on "Settings"

-  Select "Data Execution Prevention"

-  Select "Turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services only"

-  Click on Apply and OK

-  Reboot (if change was made)

Thank you for your reply. It fixed itself somehow. I did not do anything, but it looks good now. Smiley
