Your Hijackthis log does not show any infections; however, there are some items that needed fixed. It is also showing that Windows Defender is being started up hidden on reboot. Please do the following: 1. Run another Hijackthis scan. When the scan is completed, place a checkmark in the box next to the following items. BE SURE that these are the only items checked. O2 - BHO: (no name) - {549B5CA7-4A86-11D7-A4DF-000874180BB3} - (no file) O2 - BHO: (no name) - {FDD3B846-8D59-4ffb-8758-209B6AD74ACC} - (no file) O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Windows Defender] %ProgramFiles%\Windows Defender\MSASCui.exe -hide O9 - Extra button: PartyPoker.net - {F4430FE8-2638-42e5-B849-800749B94EED} - C:\Programs\PartyGaming.Net\PartyPokerNet\RunPF.exe (file missing) O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: PartyPoker.net - {F4430FE8-2638-42e5-B849-800749B94EED} - C:\Programs\PartyGaming.Net\PartyPokerNet\RunPF.exe (file missing) 2. Close your browser window to exit IE7 3. Click on Fix Checked located at the bottom left of your Hijackthis window. Confirm that you want HJT to fix these items and let it fix them. 4. Close HiJackthis and immediately reboot your computer. 5. After you reboot, try the THGuard setting to load on startup and see if it will stick. IF it does not stick, then I am at a loss as to why your system will not let THGuard.exe load its startup registry key in your registry. We can use the Task Scheduler to start THGuard.exe on computer startup if the above fails. Follow the procedure below to set up THGuard in the Task Scheduler. 1. Go to START>All Programs>Administrative Tools>Task Scheduler. The Task Scheduler will open. 2. In the top menu under "Action", select Create basic task. The Create Basic Task Wizard window will open. 3. In "Name" type in THGuard.exe 4. In "Description" type in Start THGuard.exe from TrojanHunter on computer startup 5. Click on Next 6. In the Task Trigger window, bullet When the computer starts 7. Click on Next 8. In the Action window, bullet Start a program 9. Click on Next 10. In the Start a Program window, click on Browse. 11. Navigate to C:\Program Files\TrojanHunter 5.0\THGuard.exe and select THGuard.exe. 12. Click on Open to select THGuard.exe. The following should now appear in the Program/script window. "C:\Program Files (x86)\TrojanHunter 5.0\THGuard.exe" 13. Click on Next 14. In the Summary window, check mark Open the Properties dialog for this task when I click Finish 15. Click on Finish. The Properties window should now open and the General tab should be selected. 16. On the General tab: - Bullet Run only when user is logged on - Bullet Run with highest privileges - The "Configure for:" box should show Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008 17. Click on the Triggers tab 18. Click on Edit - The "Begin the task:" box should show At startup - "Enabled" should be check marked. 19. Click on OK and then OK to close the THGuard.exe properties window. 20. Close the Task Scheduler 21. Reboot your computer. - THGuard.exe should now start up and its icon be present in the Notification Tray next to the clock.
