Hello
 
Since I updating my System Mechanic software about a week ago Ihave been getting a Trojan Agent.925 alert in Trojan Guard. Is there anyway of getting rid of this?

Please submit the file that THGuard is detecting as Trojan Agent.925 to Mischel Internet Security for analysis.  Once you have submitted the file, Gavin/Magnus will be able to correct the false positive for THGuard.

Thanks for getting back to me. The problem I have with submitting the file is that the error comes from the System Mechanic 7.0 program from www.iolo.com and not from a file I opened. I have contacted Iolo support but haven gotten an answer. I found a earlier post (http://www.misec.net/forum/board/Trojans/1163872240) explaining the same error but also without a solution. The Agent.925 started coming up as soon as I had updated SMS.exe to the new version. Angry

Would you explain to me step-by-step how you get to the point that THGuard detects this "error".  If I understand you, it is from something on the website www.iolo.com.  I am at a loss as to how to make the issue occur.  Huh

It was ioloCommonRes.dll
 
Fixed if you update ?
 
Check your quarantine for ioloCommonRes.dll, restore it if it is there. All should be well

The error Trojan Alert comes up as soon as I turn on the computer. I have checked and the problem does lie with ioloCommonRes.dll. Trojan Guard seems to consider this file a Trojan. However when I ask TG to clean the file, my Antivirus software Kaspersky intervenes and indicates there is "malicious activity" and terminates the clean process so ioloCommonRes.dll stays in action. You can download SMS.exe version 7.0 and the update off the iolo.com site.

Did you update TH's rulesets to the latest via LiveUpdate as per Gavin's request?  Your TH scanner should show 150216 rulesets when you click on the Trojans icon on the left icon bar.  
 
Did the most current rulesets correct this issue for you?
