Ok, here is what I am thinking...
 
I use Nod32, Comodo FW, Router FW, firefox, spyware blaster and winpatrol
 
With all this do you feel I need TH running all the time, or do you think I can use it 'on demand'.  I have had it for 2 years and it has never caught anything (i understand it will catch what the others dont for the most part)  
 
So what do you think of not having TH guard running?
 
Also, is there a way I can lauch the scanner from a batch script so I dont forget to run scans?

It all depends on your surfing habits, downloads that you endeavor, and email practices to a large degree.  You have a strong security cadre on your system which I assume you keep up-to-date along with Windows, etc.  
 
THGuard uses very little resources and typically does not conflict with other security programs.  If a person "believes" all the spooky, alarming articles about what the cybercriminals are doing and planning to do, I suggest that THGuard is added protection for that "not expected" hit by the crooks.  
 
As for as running a scheduled scan, you could use the procedure described in the link below.
