Clash between SpySweeper & Trjan Hunter

I have a problem with trojan Guard. I update the program manually every morning this morning after the update a warning from Trojan Guard appeared that I have a Trojan called Trojan.Banker. After I accepted the default cleaning option SpySweeper came with a message that the language file wasn't working and that I had to reinstall spy sweeper. After I did this I received continous messages that Trojan guard had found a trojan on my computer which was the same ie. Trojan.Banker. There was no other way then to unload trojan hunter and remove from my system.
It had definitely something to do with the latest update since it did not happen yesterday.
I would like a speedy response since I don't like to run my computer without the additional protection Trojan Hunter provides.
Regards

Hi rubicorn

Please update your TH again.

As I understood, there were others having the same thing: it was a false positive that has been fixed by Gavin.

See for example this thread:
http://forum.misec.net/board/RulesetUpdates/1143746579

You will see there the current file-sizes and MD5-checksums.

I hope this helps.

Thank you for the quick response. I did what you suggested and everything works fine.
Thank you again also for the fine program I'm extremely happy with and which gives me a piece of mind that I'm secure of the nasty's out there.

If any other user encounters this conflict concerning the temporary False Positive TrojanSpy.Banker.879 and Spy Sweeper, just do this to get Spy Sweeper back in business without re-installing it.

1.  Run TrojanHunter's LiveUpdate again to get the latest updates.

2.  Using Windows Explorer or the START-SEARCH utility, search for this file     Language.dll.tcf

This file will be found in the C:\Program Files\Webroot\Spy Sweeper folder

3.  Rename Language.dll.tcf to Language.dll

4.  Close the search window and reboot.

also, in the event that a "false-positive" is not resolved, TH has an "ignore" feature..

TH used to flag something on my pc that was not malicious.. i just put it on ignore.. incidentally, when i tried sunbelt's counterspy, it was flagging the same thing, though, at that time, TH was no longer flagging it..

Excellent point, Redwolfe_98.  Use the Ignore feature.  Wink
