First, as a NIS 2005 user myself, please rest assured that there is no "conflict" between NIS 2005 and TrojanHunter. Second, try the following. - Load THGuard and uncheck the "Load on Startup" option. - Click on OK to save this setting. - Then open Settings again and check mark the "Load on Startup" option. - Click on Ok to save the setting. - Then go to START-RUN and type in msconfig - Open the Startup tab and see if THGuard.exe is in the list of startup programs. It should be. - Assuming that it is in the list of startup program, reboot your computer and see if THGuard starts up. If the above does not solve the issue, - Open NIS 2005 - Highlight Personal Firewall and click on Configure - Select the Programs tab - Search down through the list of programs and make sure that THGuard.exe is not in the list of programs. If it is, remove it. - Close NIS 2005 and reboot. HTWs. Please let us know if the issue is resolved. I hope you fully removed NIS 2003 prior to upgrading to NIS 2005. An "install over" is not normally very successful with Symantec products...at least that is my experience. If neither of the above tactics resolve your issue, I recommend that you: - Unload THGuard.exe - Save off your License.dat file for TH - Use Add/Remove Programs and remove TrojanHunter. - Once uninstalled, reboot. - After rebooting, use Windows Explorer and remove all TrojanHunter folders found under C:\Program Files\ - Close down all programs in your lower right notification bar. - Disable Norton Antivirus - Reinstall TrojanHunter V4.2, Build 908 - Move in your License.dat file into the C:\Program Files\TrojanHunter 4.2 folder. - Set the desired settings for THGuard and TH scanner. - Be sure that NIS 2005 is not blocking the LiveUpdate for TH.
