6Montage There are two primary components of TrojanHunter. The first is TrojanHunter scanner which allows you to scan your files and is the icon with the spy glass having the blue handle. The second component is TrojanHunter Guard which is the memory resident protection element and scans memory guarding against trojans. TH Guard is the icon with the spy glass having the red handle. First, be sure you are using an account with Administrator privileges. If you do not have the THGuard icon (red-handled spy glass) in your lower right systray/notification bar, please first check to see if it is running in memory. Do this by Ctrl-Alt-Del, Task Manager, and look for THGuard.exe under the Processes tab. If THGuard.exe is not running in memory, go START-PROGRAMS-TROJANHUNTER folder and click on the TrojanHunter Guard icon to start it. You should then see the red handled spy glass in the lower right systray. Right click on the red handled spy glass in the lower right system, select Settings, and you will have the screen shown above with the options. If you see THGuard.exe in memory but do not have the red handled spy glass icon in the lower right Systray, try logging off your icon and then log right back in. This should cause the icon to appear (this is an XP problem, not a TH problem). HTHS.
