Trojan Guard inspection rate

I would like to know if Trojan Guard monitors a system continually while enabled, or if it checks your system according to some preset frequency rate,  For example, does it inspect your system for trojans every 10 sec, or at some other time interval.
 
In other words, is the real time monitoring always present or does it occur at a predetermined time frequency interval.

You're exactly right IIRC. Every ten seconds.
