Trojan Guard crashes with a Trojan

Hi, i have trojan hunter 4.2 installed which was registered to me yesterday. i registered via using the registration code given in the email as opposed to using the licence.dat file.

Today i thought i would try it out so i set TH guard on and updated the database via live update.

I then downloaded and executed this Trojan simulator file i had found while browsing the net.
Here is the link to the file.
http://www.misec.net/trojansimulator/

A message popped up saying that a trojan has been found in the memory would you like to clean. I clicked clean and another box popped up (in the background i couldnt see this new box as the first box was completely obscuring it). The first box stayed there it had seemed like it had crashed as it wouldnt close i clicked both cancel and the X at the top but it wouldnt close. The second box however brought with it an error box.

Does anyone know what caused this and how to repair it as i do not want to come accross a real trojan and have my trojan hunter crash on me during the cleaning process.

Thank you very much for any help you can give.

thats very odd, seems to be a problem with code or something of the like, i do believe you'll have to wait for magnus or aaron for this one.......give it a little bit, if you get no response from them, i would suggest emailing them and pointing them to this thread.....they are busy and sometimes can't see every thread, but i assure you, you won't be left in the dark Tongue

Is there a particular reason you are using XP with no service packs?
