program autoupdate ("notif" alternative)

I agree with the thrust of the feature suggestion described in http://forum.misec.net/board/THFeatures/1109030685 (have TH program autoupdate capability, just like definition autoupdate is handled now), that's my first choice.
But if that doesn't come to pass, my 2nd choice would be that program update notification can be sent by e-mail to those who choose to subscribe to such a mailing list, or simply automatically be sent to all people who have current active subscritions.
Checking the website periodically for new program versions gets old; it's not cutting edge style like the program itself is. Jaygo1
