February Survey: How are we doing?

Here are a few questions that I'd love for any and all customers to respond to. Feel free to use as much text as you need to reply and don't be shy about bringing up both good and bad points.

1. How did you first hear about TrojanHunter? What made you want to download it? Did you install it as a preventative measure or did you install it to get rid of a trojan already on your system?

2. Have you contacted our support department? If so, how do you rate the support you received? Was the response timely, and do you feel you got all the answers you needed?

First heard bout it on an lifestyle and enertainment forum at TimeZone, this was a couple of years ago.  Installed it as a preventative measure, and am very pleased with the software.

I have had a couple of occqssions to contact support (you) by e-mail and the responses were timely good and helpful. The forums are also terrific and I have received timely and valuable help here, and learn a lot by following many of the threads.

You seem to ignore some posts like the one that recently asked about the status of verison five, which you had previously said you hoped would be done by the end of 2006.

How about keeping us posted every couple of months with a progress report on up and coming new versions.

1.  I've been using TrojanHunter for so long that I cannot honestly remember where I heard about it.  I "think" I read about it in one of the PC magazines.  It was/is installed to enhance my system security because I do a lot of e-commerce (purchases, bill payments, banking, etc.) through the Internet.

2.  Yes, I have contacted Mischel Support more than once.  I have always received very attentative, solid response/assistance from Magnus and his associates....long before I became a forum moderator.

I've been running TH since version 2.something, I can't remember exactly. It was one of the first purchases I made after first going online in 99. I bought it after being let down by Shitemantec's Norton, (as awful then as it is now, and even then a noxious weed that was nearly impossible to rid my system of). The steaming pile of merde that is Norton missed several trojans, as did the old InoculteIT I was also using. So, I splashed out for TH and haven't looked back. The value for money was and is excellent,  and I have always found the service to be first-rate. Of course, if the option to add directories to the Ignore List makes it into the next version, that would really be the icing on the cake!  Grin

Hey Magnus> How did I hear of TH.
Well I'm an old user of TDS Pro and have consulted Gavin on numerous occassions over the years when he was hanging his hat over at DCS. I looked for a preventative Tojan security alternative when TDS "so abruptly I felt" ceased to be (and I so dug the TDS Interface!!).
ANYWAY....Tojan Hunter won HANDS DOWN and low and behold, who is on top of the Trojan Annalysis over here but Gavin! Too cool.
I am completely confident in TH and TG, and have yet to be infected with any trojan. Nice Job everyone!
Now about that 'Interface .... no just kidding! Cool

I have been a long time user of TH

I have tried to get help regarding a important matter.  Well, that was 2 weeks ago today. I have yet to recieve any reply from anyone who could be bothered.  Slack, very dam slack

My rating for customer support?  0  really it deserves a minus.

Needless to say, I am, as of now, no longer a TH user.

hi...
I am an avid down loader at snapfiles and took a months trial of TH from there...
Things that impressed me most about my months trial..
TH found open ports that shouldn't have been open..
no other pro grammes even mentioned it..
it also found a couple of other issues that nothing else found
TH months trial was a proper trial...none of this we have found trojans on your system and now you have to pay to get rid of them!!..
The trial included updates...very few do
So now I was beginning to realize that I was going to be dealing with a company of integrity.. important where security is concerned...
After a months trial on two computers... for the first time ever I paid for a security program
Do I regret it?? HELL NO...best move I could have made...
Back up..website  and support are  exceptional...I dont know if you ever sleep..but I sent a panic message in the middle of the night your time..it was answered within minutes..
can I fault you in any way...pikky thing TH finds a few false positives.which set me into panic mode...but silver lining to this is it keeps you and me on our  toes sorting them out..!!
Thankyou...my view is that you are doing great......

Hi, My First Post, New to the Forum,

I was looking for a program, in addition to Antivirus, for added security/protection....The only infections my computer has ever had was from trojans......so I wanted additional protection from these nastys.....After extensive research I found that TrojanHunter was rated very high and had very positive reviews......Am currently using trial version and so far am very satisfied........It has not interfered with any of my other security software......I am currently running the following: OutPost Security Suite, SpywareBlaster, CCleaner and  TuneUp Utilities.......Thanks!.... aocsgil

Anytime that i had an issue of one sort or another and i came here to post a gripe;
the global moderator was right on top of the problem and we got it all fixed.
Even the false positive about my laptop graphics drivers being called a Trojan was fixed.
I think that issue was handled by the Trojan analyst,Gavin.

I have a lot of layered protection on my machine;
one of the most important components is the TROJAN HUNTER.

PLEASE update your copy of Trojan Hunter to the newest version;

TrojanHunter V.4.7

I am going to get straight to the point on why I am posting this message.  I have used Trojan Hunter for quite a while and seem to get frustrated every time I use a custom scan and find trojans.  Well, you might say what could be the problem if it finds trojans!  The problem is with the options available once the trojans are found.  You get a window showing the files that Trojan Hunter has processed.  You as a user don't have an option to select how you want the trojan processed, and once your in this window it is difficult to remember what files the trojans were part of.  I really think there should be more user interaction at the final cleaning level.  Basically that is it, you don't have a choice.  I hope this "tiny pain in the neck"  situation can lead to a better product.  Wink
