Own rules

Sorry, if this topic has been talked about here but what do you guys think of creating a folder/thread here for custom rules that  
people have, so that we may share them?
 
The person submitting would be obliged to explain their reasons for creating the custom rule and the reasons could be discussed in the thread as well.

It's a good idea, but I think we've got to wait for version 3.0 before rule-swapping becomes really possible - otherwise you're going to be slinging 350KB files around just for a couple of extra rules (and this place might not be able to cope with that - AFAIK posting binaries isn't allowed, but I suppose you could post a link to an upload site).
 
It's planned that TH3.0 will include the ability to export/import rules in text format, making it real easy to post new rules here. Until then, you've more-or-less got to have the actual target file on your PC so that TH2.5x can fingerprint it and add it to the various rulesets.

IIRC, Magnus' official reply to that little nugget was "When it's ready", which is fair enough. In real terms, I don't know - maybe Christmas, possibly before Grin
