Hi there

Any plans for TH5 to expand coverage from just trojans to other types of malware, ie, Sypware, adware, dialers & keyloggers?

Regards

There are thousands of dialers, keyloggers, adware, rootkits, and spyware already in TrojanHunter.  And its growing daily as Gavin is adding a 1000+ new rulesets weekly.

Just open TH scanner, click on the Trojans icon on the left bar.  Then select A, K, D, R and scan down through.  You will see Adware, klog, dialer, adware, rootkit rulesets throughout.  Wink

Hi siliconman

Once again thanks for the update.  I was not aware of this as I do not have the time to browse the signature.  Does this increase in coverage not suggest that it may be sensible, at some time in the future, to consider renaming TH to MH (MalwareHunter) to better describe its capabilities as I think it is getting view as 'stuck in a rut' when compared to some of the new kids on the block such as Ewido, etc.

By the way, any views on how TH compares to the likes of Ewido?  I am curious!

Regards

IMHO our beloved TH is still a little behind ewido which has roughly 400,000+ signatures in its database.  But with Gavin on our side we should be gaining ground.   Grin Cheesy

Hi Randy

Thanks for the honest opinion.  I am sticking with TH as I am of the same mind as you......and TH5 is on the way.....or should it be MH5?
