TH V4.5B1 Uninstall Does Not Uninstall Everything

The uninstaller from the Add/Remove Programs does not totally uninstall TH V4.5.  This uninstall occurred with THGuard.exe not active and a fresh reboot prior to the uninstall.  
 
The following items are left behind.
 
1.  The TH folder in Programs list (START-PROGRAMS)
2.  The primary TH folder under C:\Program Files.  Inside this folder the subfolders Rules, Submitfiles, and Tools remains.
3.  The TH folder under C:\Documents & Settings\User\Application Data
4.  Registry Entries:

  As   Windows  Registry  is  not  my  closest  friend  ,  what  do  you  suggest  when  it's  time  to uninstall  this  beta version    before  installing  the  next  one ?

Well, hopefully Magnus will smarten up the uninstaller so that it cleans up everything from both the files system and the registry.  However, for now I recommend that:
 
Be sure that THGuard.exe is unloaded prior to the uninstall.  Before unloading THGuard.exe, uncheck all the options, click on OK to save the options, then unload.
 
Perform the Uninstall.
 
After the uninstall, reboot the computer.  Then use Windows Explorer to find any hanging TH folders and remove them.
 
Remove the TH folder from the Programs menu list.
 
Use a registry cleaner such as jv16 PowerTools 2005 or RegSupreme, Ace Utilities, or RegVac to clean out the registry.  These do a pretty good job individually and/or together of ridding the registry of unneeded junk.  
 
That should do it!   Wink
