Nothing seems to stop the pop-ups

I'm desperate to find a way to get rid of irritating pop-ups.

I tried everythink, various programs, manual removal, nothing works. I run Ad-aware, spybot s&d, AVG free, Norton Antivirus. All the newest versions and fully updated.
Sometimes they find something, I remove it folowing instructions et all and sometimes all programs find nothing. But I still get the pop-ups. I'm desperate now.
The programs found the following adware/malware: Zestyfind, Coolwebsearch, Adware.look2me, Isearch, something with prefetch, Trojan.moo, Trojan.byteVerify and Istbar.
My computer is fully firewalled by the internet Router, windows and all mentioned programs...

What to do, I'm out of ideas.. Please help Huh

Welcome to the forum Tha_MAn  Cheesy

It is not recommended that you run two antivirus programs (AVG & NAV) at the same time.  This can/will/could generate a lot of false positives and conflicts.

You don't mention whether you are using a firewall?  If you have no active firewall, then you are very susceptible to infections.

Are you running either Ad-Aware's Ad-Watch or SpyBot's TeaTimer as memory resident to assist in blocking infections as they occur?  It sounds like you may have a weak front end protection.  In other words, there is not anything actively protecting you from becoming infected.  You find the infections after the fact when doing Ad-Aware and SpyBot scans of your system.

Are you using TrojanHunter and its memory resident TrojanHunter Guard?  TH is adding a lot of new detections for spyware.

Are you using Windows XP-SP2?  You could turn on popup blocking in IE to help block popups.  It sounds like you need to lock down your security a bit in IE.  If you go over to www.Wilderssecurity.com there are several posts concerning the security settings for IE.

If you can see your way clear financially, I'd recommend using Spy Sweeper with all its shields active.  Spy Sweeper is top of the line in adware/malware detection.  Also NAV 2006 has significantly beefed up its spyware detection.  A good combination would be such as NIS/NAV 2006, Spy Sweeper V4.5.5, and TrojanHunter V4.2 with their memory resident modules active and SpyBot as your back up scanner for adware and malware.  I recommend adding the freebie program SpywareBlaster to help block malicious ActiveX which is a significant source for becoming infected.  The freebie IE-SpyAd would also help significantly.  Both SpywareBlaster and IE-SpyAd work silently, behind the scenes, and without taking system resources.

I just got rid of my pop-ups!
I also try everything and nothing seamed to help. I was even advised to format my hard drive!
I fugured out that my computer was infected with some type of trojan. And unfortunately it happend to be true.
I just remember that couple years ago some Trojan destroyed lots of systems, and the only anti-virus program that coud identify and kill it was Kaspersky anti-virus.
So I got rid of my McAfee that I've been using for 2 years, and all other bullshit that i installed during past week (anti-spys, anti-spams, antiviruses...) www.kaspersky.com. They have 30 days free trial.
I had the whole folder "Citeger" in program files 80MB, containing 4000 files, and it happened to be some modification of trojan. And that stuff was allover my system.
No pop-pus!!!!

Version 6 of KAV is about to be released.  It's supposed to be even BETTER.   Wink  From what I hear, it will be out before your 30 day trial ends.
