did you see the other log i posted under for malware bytes? and this is the ony thing that poppped up in trojan hunter scan

Port 5180/TCP is open (matches Peeper.120)

also my computer has been louder then usual and sounds like a weird cracking noise

do i close the things myself or? cuz it told me on the page things were highlighted what they meant but still not sure

and the noise is coming from the actual computer, i was thinking the loudness was from me needing to clean the inside with a air can but theres a strange noise ive never heard before also coming from it

But what was the name of the "Process" that using Port 5180? �It wouldn't happen to be Aim.exe, is it? �The port is shown under "Local Address" and is the number following the :

Concerning your noise, I'm afraid I cannot help you on that one if it is coming from the inside of the computer. �It could be the anything that is rotating...fans, drives, etc. �

Or I suppose the cracking noise could also be a "sizzling" noise that is an electrical component arcing. Undecided

Okay, then you are using Aim and it listens on port 5180 which is okay...normal...not malicious.

Well, you have to open up the computer and find out what device is "sizzling". Then replace it. If you are uncomfortable doing that yourself....then it's professional shop repair time.

3. Make sure the rulesets for TrojanHunter and SuperAntispyware are updated to the latest rulesets.

4. Open the Task Manager

- Highlight prunnet.exe and click on End Process.

- Confirm that you want to end running prunnet.exe

- Close the Task Manager

5. Run a new Hijackthis scan. When the scan is completed, place a checkmark in the box next to the following items. BE SURE that these are the only items checked.

7. Close your HJT window.

8. Reboot your computer into SAFE MODE

9. Run a Full Scan with TrojanHunter and let it quarantine what it finds.

10. Run a Complete Scan with SuperAntiSpyware and let it quarantine what it finds.

11. Reboot back into Normal Mode.

12. Post back here the scan log for TrojanHunter and SuperAntispyware.

13. Post a new Hijackthis log.

nope no pop ups since the last trojan hunter scan and super anti spyware scan, but i guess you were right about one care not being known for good protection, because when the trojan pop ups would appear id click clean and it would say removed then 10 minutes later popped up again
