can someone tell me what this is , as all attempts to find out via search engines have left me very confused. Is it a legitamite Microsoft process or is it something sinster  to do with the MYFIP worm Huh . i have full and up to date Security software from Norton , and of
course up to date Trojan hunter . neither find any problems with a full scan.

i have  had some problems with my comptuers wireless connection recently and it was resolved by ISP  helpdesk , who had to remote control my computer for a while and we had to turn norton on to ask when a program required permission to access things . obviosly this brings up a lot of  which we clicked allow ect. i found DFSVC.exe in firewall program control  and i don't what it is .

i,m probably being paranoid but any advice would be greatly appericated

Welcome to the forum trets7

You are probably okay.  dfsvc.exe is part of Microsoft NetFrame software.  However, it can also be part of a worm.  So run the file through jotti and see if anything is detected.

If you find that any of the scanners say it is malicious, holler back here.
