Welcome to the forum seeninator,

Yes, the HJT shows that you are infected.  Please do this:

1.  Go to the link below and download Combofix.exe.  Save it on your desktop.

http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe

2.  Temporarily disable all your security programs EXCEPT your firewall.  These may interefere with Combofix when it attempts to clean up.

3.  Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
When finished, it will produce a log for you.

Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it is running. That may cause it to stall.

4.  After combofix has completed, reboot and enable your other security programs.

5.  Post back here the log from Combofix and also a new HJT scan log so that we can see if more needs to be cleaned.

Okay, great progress made.  Sorry for the slow response on my part.... my ISP was down for maintainence.

There are still a couple of issues on your system.  Please do this:

1.  Send in program wupeng.exe for analysis to Mischel Internet Security.  The link below describes how to submit files.  File wupeng.exe is located in your C:\Windows\System32 folder.

http://www.misec.net/forum/board/FAQ/1139308293

2.  Run another Hijackthis scan.  When the scan is completed, place a check mark next to the following items.  BE SURE that these are the only items check marked.

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Winupdate Engine] C:\WINDOWS\system32\wupeng.exe

O20 - Winlogon Notify: winawp32 - winawp32.dll (file missing)

3.  Close your Browser window.

4.  Click on Fix Checked on the lower left of the Hijackthis window.  Confirm that you want HJT to fix the items and let it fix them.

5.  Close HJT

6.  Reboot your computer.

7.  Post a new HJT scan log here.

In Addition to my post above:

Your Java applet is way out-of-date and needs to be updated to implement the latest security fixes on it.,

-  Go to the link below and update Java.

http://www.java.com

-  After you have updated Java, go to Add/Remove Programs in the control panel and remove any old update of Java.  Unfortunately Java's installer does not do this when you upgrade.  This is very important that you remove the older versions of Java.

Very good!  According to your HJT log, your system is cleaned up.

You may wish to confirm this by doing a remote scan with Kaspersky at the link below.  To run the remote scan, use Internet Explorer to go to the link.  Kaspersky will need to download an ActiveX component so please let it.  Then run a full scan of your system.  BE SURE to temporarily disable your resident antivirus protection program during the remote scan so that there is no conflict.

Kaspersky will not remove anything that it detects, so please come back here and let us know if Kaspersky did find further infections and we'll go from there.  Post the Kaspersky scan log if something is found so that we can determine what needs to be done.

Hmmm.. let's see what we need to do now.

1.  Make all your files and folders visible by following the instructions on the link below.

http://www.misec.net/forum/board/FAQ/1139610900

2.  Many of these are in the Quarantine folder of Trend Micro and are neutralized.  Example:

Quote:
detected: Trojan program Trojan-Downloader.Win32.Agent.hrbFile: C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\Internet Security 12\Quarantine\10F.tmp//CryptFF.b

-  Please empty out your Quarantine folder in Trend Micro.

3.  Two of these are files quarantined in Qoobox. Qoobox is a folder that was created by ComboFix when you ran it earlier.

-  Delete ComboFix.exe from your desktop

-  Locate and delete the folder named Qoobox.  It is located in your root directory C.

4.  Please submit the following files to Mischel Internet Security for analysis.

ysxl.exe        located at C:\ysxl.exe

install.exe     located at C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\install.exe

keygen.exe   located at C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\keygen.exe

The link below explains how to submit files.

http://www.misec.net/forum/board/FAQ/1139308293

5.  Download and install the Trial Version of TrojanHunter.

-  The download link is at the top of this forum.

-  Once you get TrojanHunter installed, manually update its rulesets as per the link below.  (Unfortunately the Trial Version does not permit automatic updates.)  It is important that you perform this manual update of the rulesets

http://www.misec.net/trojanhunter/updating/

6.  Reboot your computer into SAFE MODE.

7.  Run a FULL SCAN of your system with TrojanHunter.

-  Let TrojanHunter quarantine what it finds.

8.  Reboot your computer back into Normal Mode

9.  Post back here the scan/quarantine log from the TrojanHunter scan.  The log file is located in the C:\Program Files\TrojanHunter 5.0\Scan Reports folder.

In addition to my post above:

I cannot tell what version of FireFox you are running; however, the latest version is 2.0.0.11

If you are not running the latest version, you should upgrade.

Do this AFTER you have done the items in my above post

http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/

Please read the release notes at the link below PRIOR to performing the upgrade.

http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/2.0.0.11/releasenotes/

You should also go to the Firefox Support forum and obtain advice/guidance on what Add-ins you really need to install to enhance your browsing security.  Part of your infection problem(s) may be a result of not having the needed FireFox add-ins and settings.

Okay,

TH found some goodies; however, it did not detect

ysxl.exe   located at C:\ysxl.exe

keygen.exe   located at C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\keygen.exe

Did you submit these files to Mischel Internet Security per my request?

I would like you to try to remove these two files manually.

1.  Reboot your computer into SAFE MODE

2.  Search for ysxl.exe and delete it.

3.  Search for keygen.exe and delete it.

4.  Empty your Recycle Bin.

5.  Reboot back into Normal Mode

6.  Now please run a Remote Scan using Bit Defender.  This remote scanner will remove any malicious files it finds during the remote scan.

-  The link below is for Bit Defender remote scanner.

http://www.bitdefender.com/scan8/ie.html

-  Be sure to disable your resident antivirus program prior to the remote scan by Bit Defender.

-  You need to use Internet Explorer because Bit Defender will need to download/install an ActiveX component.  Please let it do so for this remote scan.

7.  Once Bit Defender has completed, reboot your computer.

8.  Please post back here the scan log of Bit Defender.
