I see nothing malicious or that needs to be corrected on your HiJackthis log.

If you are "concerned" because of something strange happening on your system at the present time, please run a Kaspersky remote scan...full system scan.  Chances are that if Kaspersky scans clean, then you are clean.   Wink

http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner

Note: Kaspersky needs to install an ActiveX, so please use IE to access the above site and let it download/install the scanner ActiveX.

Check in the Kaspersky folder on your hard drive and see if a log has been created.

What version of Norton are you using?

Do a search for the word  Kaspersky on your hard drive.  It will show you where the folder is located.

This is a significant problem.  Anti-Spyware and Anti-Trojan programs normally do not detect viruses.  They detect trojans and other spyware.  You really need to install a current, active anti-virus program...such as Norton Internet Security 2008 or Kaspersky Internet Security 7.  In today's Internet world, the criminals are quick to modify and implement new techniques and methods to infect your computer.  It takes daily and current vigilance to stay at par with the criminals.

Okay, Kaspersky is reading the Quarantine folder of Norton.  What you need to do is empty the Quarantine folder of Norton.  Norton has already removed the malicious files and placed them in its Quarantine.  Just open Norton and go to the Quarantine folder.  Then REMOVE/DELETE all the items you have in Quarantine.

BE SURE that you do NOT instruct Norton to RESTORE the files.

I don't know what version of NIS you are running.  However, I'm guessing you have NIS 2007.  Do you have a "View History" over on the left side of the Norton window?

For the moment, if the Quarantine folder is now cleaned, that is all to delete.

Just empty your Trash can/Recycle Bin and see what another Kaspersky scan finds.  Also, when you are running the Kaspersky scan, temporarily disable Norton's antivirus protection.  DO NOT disable the firewall....just the antivirus protection.  Then turn it back on when you have completed the Kaspersky scan.
