HELP cannot find description of this trojan

Recently scanned system and found that one of my game .exe files is infected by TrojanSpy.Delf.293. Have searched databases for a description of what it is but there isn't one. Trojan hunter dosen't even have a description and it found it. Anyone have an idea what it is and more important how it got into my game file .exe. any help would be appreciated guys\girls, i have tried searching several other web sites for description and google but nothing.

Naming conventions are not available throughout the security industry on items like trojans so that is why you are not finding other websites showing this TH name.
 
Please submit the file to Gavin, the TH trojan analyst, to see if he confirms that it is infected.  It's always possible that you have a False Positive.  The link below describes how to submit a file.

Does this mean that VirusTotal did not detect any problems with the executable or that you were not successful in getting the file run through VirusTotal?
 
Did Gavin respond back on your submittal as of yet?  Does the latest ruleset issued on 08-Apr-07 still detect the trojan on your game executable?

Have been away for a few days and just got an email from my server that my emails did not go thru to VirusTotal or you guys. My provider had some problems, etc and email was not being sent, so no one got any of my emails. I updated to latest files and you were right, rescanned the file and no trojan found. Funny but i updated about a week ago and scanned and thats when it found the trojan, now new update and it dosen't. Must have been a mistake and new files picked up on false readings i assume. Should i re-submitt the file for you to check or is everything ok. Hope that some how it is not a trojan that has changed and hidden itself. Is this possible or am i being paranoid. Would still like to know what TrojanSpy.Delf.293 is or can do to a system.

It's not necessary to re-submit the file.  It must have been a false positive and Gavin strengthened the detection rule.

I suspect that Gavin/Magnus are using the "Delf" name modeled after this:
