Deleting NTFS  ADS files?

After scanning with all boxes checked under OPtions on the left panel of TG (except the last one) a number of NTFS alternate date stream files are found, a number of them involve deleted software installs etc.
Are these items that can/should be deleted?? I'm not sure. Huh
Thanks in advance. Cool

Just click on the Delete ADS Stream for each one and it will delete the ADS stream...not the whole file.  Windows XP automatically attaches a zone identifier ADS to files that you download.

When you click on the Delete ADS Stream option, TH will issue a message for confirmation...confirm.

Here is a info discussion about ADS streams:

After reading all the WinloginHook/Trojan threads and as far as I know (given my security Layer+scans) I am uneffected. Tongue
My question is "where are these infections coming from, how are people getting infected? And, what extra can one do to STAY Uninfected? I'm a bit concerned!!
Thanks again Cool

I assume it is coming in through ActiveX downloads and scripts.  Gavin says it is mutating so rapidly that even the biggie AVs cannot keep up with it.  He keeps adding and adding rulesets to TH as it changes and he discovers the latest.
