Last week, Symantec reported C:\Program Files\Hotbar\Bin\4.6.1.0\HbSrv.exe as Adware.Hotbar From the Symantec system console, I was not able to delete it. I Looked for the file manually and discovered that there was an entire Hotbar directory. I deleted the directory. The User’s registry tree also had Hotbar listed in the Software key. I removed that as well. This week, it popped up again but differently. Symantec reported C:\WINNT\System32\sirzijwj.exe as Adware.Hotbar Once again from the Symantec system console, I was not able to delete it. I ran a TH full scan on it in safe mode and it came up empty. I removed the file from the user’s computer, removed the .exe extension and sent it to submit at trojanhunter.com. Anyone have any info on this adware?
