ClockSync - sync.exe program - Uninstall problems!

My system appears to be under threat of attack from a program called sync.exe which is called ClockSync. Symantec anti-virus is going crazy with it & is saying it is an infected file. This was accidentally downloaded and now seems to be unable to be removed from my computer.
 
I have attempted to remove the sync.exe program by removing the program from the control panel option add/remove programs to no avail. What that has done is simply remove it from my options of programs to add/remove on the control panel. If you conduct an exploration of your system the program file still remains and you cannot delete.
 
I have contacted ClockSync directly on how to remove but they have not responded - much to my surprise  Undecided
 
Anyone have any ideas on how to remove this from my system forever...??

Download/install the trial version of TH V4.1.
 
After you get it installed and set up, go into SAFE MODE and run a TrojanHunter scan to remove clocksync.

Here is Symantec's manual removal instructions as well.  It does refer to going into SAFE MODE for removal.

I have looked into the Symantec link and it looks pretty straight forward.
I am using Ad-Aware SE Personal which I just downloaded today from lavasoft - would this one be ok to use instead of the Trojan Hunter version?

AdAware Personal probably has definitions for Clocksync.  You will probably still have to use it in SAFE MODE.  If Symantec cannot remove it in normal mode, I doubt that AdAware can either.
