Manual Update Problem - Trojan delf.TY

I am currently evaluating the product. However, today when I attempted to do the manual update, my SonicWall blocked the download and reported that the update file was infected with the delf.TY trojan. I'm not sure what's happening here, so I hesitate to tell my IT guys to add a rule to the SonicWall to let the file through. Is it possible that your update file has gotten compromised?

I'll email Gavin to check in here.  This problem is not showing up on Norton Internet Security 2007 when LiveUpdates for TH have been downloaded today on my system.  Haven't heard of any such problem from other users as of yet.

SmileyThanks for the quick response. As a follow up, I attempted to download the update from one of the other servers on my LAN and got the same result. I just wanted to confirm to myself that the file was being blocked directly at the SonicWall appliance and not by any security stuff running on my workstation (I run a bunch). The server is protected only by TrendMicro Server Protect and Windows Defender (Ugh!) as I have not been able to find any reliable products capable of running in Terminal Server mode. Anyway, the block definately occurred at the SonicWall.

Hi,

It's not possible for TH rules themselves to carry a trojan, I'm a bit surprised at this detection !

This should be reported to them so they can replicate it and fix the issue. I'm sure they can, it appears to be a signature detection..

OK, I'll have my IT guys contact SonicWall support with your feedback. Hopefully this can be resolved quickly as I like your product. On the very first trial run TrojanHunter picked up 2 trojans that got passed all my other protection schemes (including the very same SonicWall).

 SmileyThanks for your help!
