Can,t Update---Error

Hi,
I went to update this AM and I get the following "Error" message.
Unable to move CTonguerogram Files\Trojan Hunter 4.6\Tools\Live Update\Temp\Updatelist.txt to C: Program Files\TH 4.6\Tools\Live Update\..\..\RuleFiles\Updatelist.txt (acess is denied))Unable to install update.
I wanted to send a screenshot of this message but I installed WinXP SP2 and can,t quite figure out how to do it yetHuhAnyways I have had TH installed on this computer for over three (3) weeks now and haven,t had any problem until this AM!!!
I re-booted to see if that would help,but the same error came up!
Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Are you sure your firewall is not blocking LiveUpdate?  Also be sure you do not have a copy of LiveUpdate.exe stuck in memory.  If that is not the problem, please manually update the rulesets and see if that clears up the problem for the next run of LiveUpdate.  
 
Go to the link below, download the update, and then unzip it into the C:\Program Files\TrojanHunter 4.6\RuleFiles folder, letting it overwrite all the files.

Thanks for the response.
Manually D/L the rulesets and applying them into TH Rule Files did  the trick!! I tried the updater,and it said I was up to date,with no error message.I knew I was okay with the Firewall aspect.
The part where you mentioned about "copy of Live Update.exe stuck in memory",if in fact that was the cause of the problem,how would I determine thisHuh

Glad to hear you are back to normal.   Wink Something must have become garbled in your Rules file...somehow.

Just activate the Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del).  Select the Processes tab and scan down through the list of running programs and look fo LiveUpdate.exe.  There should be no LiveUpdate.exe unless it is "stuck".  If it is stuck, just highlight it and End Process.

Hi,
That was my thinking on the subject of "memory lock-up",but somehow I thought it just couldn,t be that simple to find,and was thinking it had to be something very complex to try and resolve.
Good to know "somethings" aren,t too complicated.
