| I assume you are referring to the daily automatic update that you specify/schedule in THGuard, correct? I just tried it on my XP-SP2 HE system by forcing a re-download of all the rulesets. It fired off and ran at the scheduled time. The re-download was successful. The only visible evidence that I saw when the update was occuring was the little red dot on the lower left side to the THGuard icon in the systray popped up shortly when the update was applied after downloading. The download process itself ran totally "silient". Here's something that you can try to test yours. 1. Using Windows Explorer, navigate to the TH RuleFiles folder at C:\Program Files\TrojanHunter 4.5\RuleFiles. Open the RuleFiles folder. 2. Delete the file named UpdateList.txt 3. Close Windows Explorer 4. Open the Setting window of THGuard by right clicking on the THGuard icon in the lower right systray. 5. Specify an automatic scan to run in 2 minutes from "now". Please remember that the time is military time (0-23 hours) and to checkmark the box for "Update every day at " 6. Click on Ok to save the settings. When the scheduled time occurs, watch for the little red dot to appear on the THGuard icon. Or use Ctrl-Alt-Del Task Manager and watch for LiveUpdate to enter/exit memory. 7. Manually initiate a LiveUpdate. You should receive no new updates; thereby illustrating that the automatic LiveUpdate did in fact occur.
