Switching Servers causes another update?

It appears that if a user runs LiveUpdate from the USA server and receives an update AND then switches to the European server, LiveUpdate will redownload the same update again.  Switching back to the USA server does not generate another update download.  I did check the date and rulesets on the first update from the USA.  The second download from Europe yielded the same results.

Let me qualify this a bit.  I am trying to determine how to force LiveUpdate to redownload the updates which is useful at times.

To force a new LiveUpdate under V4.5, it appears that all one has to do is go to C:\Program Files\TrojanHunter 4.5\Tools\RuleFiles and remove the file named  UpdateList.txt.  Then LiveUpdate will download everything again.  This test is when I noticed what is stated in the first paragraph.

There are some happy fun datestamp issues when the US server synchs with the UK server. Will have it worked out soon hopefully.

i too would like to know a proper way to redownload the updates, if that is possible..

with the old TH build 4.2, we could edit the "thupdate.txt" file, and then the update could be re-downloaded..

redwolfe_98,

The FAQ thread below describes how to force LiveUpdate to redownload.
