Hi,
 
I have the latest version of TrojanHunter (4.2 (build 90Cool).
 
Every morning at 8:28 AM TrojanHunter seeks to perform an automatic update. I know this because ZoneAlarm asks me for my permission to allow this.  However, the update checkbox in TrojanHunter's Settings is not checked (and FWIW, 9:58 AM is grayed out, next to the "update every day at" checkbox).
 
It is very possible that I "used" to have the checkbox checked and the time of 8:28 AM entered, I can't remember for sure.
 
I have no batch file (if indeed it's possible to write one) that's causing the automatic liveupdate to occur at any time, much less 8:28 AM.
 
Any idea how to stop the auto live update process, since I can't uncheck a box that isn't presently ticked?  I can modify a registry entry, if necessary, just need to know which one. jaygo1

Check to see if you have LiveUpdate in the Task Scheduler.  If so, delete it from the Task Scheduler.

I'm embarrassed; there it was, in Task Scheduler.  I don't remember creating this entry but in any event, I deleted it.
 
TH might have put the 8:28 AM entry in Task Scheduler contemporaneous with my configuring a 8:28 AM liveupdate  a long time ago, from within TH (though it might have been via an earlier version of TH, i.e., before 4.2).  
 
But now I don't think it happened that way since, after deleting the 8:28 AM entry, I configured TH, in Settings, to liveupdate at 9:50 AM every day, automatically, which it did just a few minutes ago, but I don't see any 9:50AM entry in Task Scheduler at this time, even after rebooting my PC.  So I must have manually created the daily 8:28 AM TH LiveUpdate "task" awhile back and just forgot I did (not sure logically why I would, since it's easier to configure a daily auto liveupdate from within TH but then again I'm not always logical<g>).  
 
I guess the TaskScheduler in this regard is useful since you can configure auto liveupdates of TH more or less frequently than the daily option afforded in TH's Settings.
 
In any event, the mystery is solved!  Thanks for giving me the solution.  jaygo1

Glad it is fixed for you.  JFI, you or someone using your computer must have put the entry in the Task Scheduler manually.  TH has never been programmed to do this automatically through the Task Scheduler.   Wink
