Scheduled LiveUpdate Leaves LiveUpdate.exe Running

I am a licensed user of TrojanHunter 4.2.908, and I am running it on WinXP Pro SP2.  I have a scheduled task set up that uses the following command line:

"C:\Program Files\TrojanHunter\Tools\LiveUpdate\LiveUpdate.exe" /autoclose /hide

The problem is that much of the time, if LiveUpdate runs while I'm away from the computer, LiveUpdate.exe is still running when I get back.  At that point, I can see LiveUpdate's task bar button, and a tiny window (really only a title bar) for it in the bottom left of the screen.  And LiveUpdate.exe won't exit until I click its task bar button, or click X on its title bar.

A few other users have been experiencing this same problem.  Magnus is trying to isolate what is causing it and will issue an update when he has corrected the problem.

Thanks for the reply and info.  I like it when an issue I have turns out to be a known one.
 
It seems a temporary workaround is to not use the /HIDE parameter.  Since removing that parameter, I haven't had any trouble.  And since I use the "Only start task if the computer has been idle for at least" setting, the /HIDE parameter wasn't really necessary anyway.

I have to take that back.  Even using just /AUTO (or /AUTOCLOSE), rather than /AUTO /HIDE (or /AUTOCLOSE /HIDE), the problem occurs.

I have found a workaround that does alleviate the problem.  Because it involves a batch file, I chose not to post it here, even though it's very simple and harmless.  Anyone who is (genuinely) interested in the workaround can send me a PM.

I think that you are being a little harsh (if I may say so).  The issue is one of those elusive ones and, if I have got my facts right, the Team are working a new version (4.3) so it is possible that if they will find the answer and the fix will be in that.
 
I have found this issue on a few occasions and they only thread that I can find is that my internet connection was not active at the time.  I am wondering if the failure to find an internet connection is the cause......although this does not happen consistently.
 
I am sure that Magnus will get to the bottom of this......he and the team always have.  That is why TH is the best, IMHO.

Bringing this back to the top - has this issue been resolved yet? It's very annoying to be playing  on line only to be dumped back to the desktop while live update runs, and it also remains active on the screen until I close it manually.
