Problem updating licence

I have read other posts who have had my problem. I have version build 918 and have tried to download the latest version by clicking on the '30 day trial' link (is this correct?), but, unlike others, the download was not successful and so i could not at my new licence Sad
 
A message appears stating that the previous version of TH has failed to be deleted in the downloading process and therefore the new version 924 cannot be downloaded.
 
can i resolve this by removing the 918 version of TH first, using the 'add/remove' function in Windows, and then get the latest version and add the updated licence which i received today by e-mail? i am afraid to try this in case it doesn't work.

That sounds like the best solution - uninstall, reboot. Install the latest build 924 and your license key. Any problems let us know, in any case you won't be unprotected as we now offer manual updates too Smiley

Sad I've tried the above solution. I removed TH and rebooted the computer. Then downloaded the latest version, but when TH loads, it recognises me as the licence holder and states that i need to update my licence . Basically i am back to square one.
 
can anyone suggest an alternative solution?

mack, try uninstalling reinstalling again

Try the uninstall, install version 924 again.  You may not have uninstalled properly.
 
First. Click on  the Trojan Hunter Guard Icon in the system tray and select settings and uncheck ALL options. Reboot computer.
 
Next. Be sure TH guard does not load at startup. Go to add remove programs in control panel and remove Trojan Hunter 4.5. If there are any other versions of Trojan Hunter remove them also. Reboot.
 
Next. Go to  C:\Program files ( C is drive letter where program files are located) Find the Trojan Hunter 4. 5 Folder and delete it. Also delete any other Trojan Hunter folders there. Reboot again.
 
Finally install the downloaded TH 4.5 build 924. And then install the license file from you e-mail. Make sure it is the correct license that you recently purchased.

What does one have to do to get a reply from Technical Support?
 
I have been running TrojanHunter for a year now.  On 29th July I was prompted to extend my license.  This I did, but was unable to receive any updates.  On 31st August I contacted Technical Support saying that I had now tried to install my codeword manually but was told that a License already existed.  I overwrote it.  Was then told I needed to renew my subscription.
 
I received no reply.
 
On September 5th I requested that my license file be emailed to me, which it was.  On trying to install it I received a message telling me that License.tlf file did not exist.  I immediately emailed Technical support, still with no result.

Thanks all is well now.  Don't understand the reference to mistyped email address as I have now received messages from Mischel to both my addresses with no problems.
 
Anyway, all's well that ends well.  System now working perfectly.
