My new license doesn't work

I purchased a 2 year license today and I am still getting the "your Trojan Hunter subscription has expired" message.  
I tried contacting the support link in the e-mail that came with my license, but have gotten no response. I saw that in one of the other threads when I was looking for answers, that someone else had a similar problem and was e-mail a new download link that solved his problem, and was wondering if someone could do the same for me?

I have emailed Magnus to jump in here.  Only he can "fix" a license problem.

I don't think my spam filter is blocking anything brcause I can renter my e-mail addy here http://www.misec.net/trojanhunter/licensefile/  
and the e-mail with the new license file gets through. I follow the instructions,  
and Double-click ("open") the file License.tlf  
and I get a pop up that says my license has been succsessfuly installed,  
but when I run update I get the subcription expired message.  
 
HELP!!!!
 
PS. I have updated to v922.
and I see by the forums that I am not the only person having problems with this.

No, you are not the only one having a problem...that's for sure.  We have to wait for Magnus because it appears that everything you have done is right and it "should be" working.

Again you are not alone.  I see that "rosetone" got "fixed" last evening; however, I'm not sure what the fix was because it is not stated.  I don't know whether the license server has/had a problem or a special license email was sent to her or what.  So let's try something (if you don't mind) to see if it was the license server.
 
1.  Go to the link below and have a new license file sent to your email address.  When you get the license, do not
try to install it just yet.
 
http://www.misec.net/trojanhunter/licensefile/
 
2.  Using Windows Explorer, naviagate to the C:\Program Files\TrojanHunter 4.5 folder and open the folder.
 
3.  Rename the current License.tlf to Licenseold.tlf
 
4.  Close Windows Explorer.
 
5.  Now open the new email with the "just sent" license file.  Install it via the instructions in the email.
 
6.  Open TH scanner and try to LiveUpdate.
 
Please post back as to whether your problem has been resolved.  Wink

I followed your instructions and heres what happened.
First, I used "TH Gaurd" to try and update because it is already running. And IT WORKED!  
I was about to return here to post my results, when I decided to check TH scanner. Different story   Cry
It said i was using an unregistered evaluation copy, and that my eval time had run out.
I went to the settings menu on TH Gaurd from the taskbar, and it still showed me as licensed.  
So I unloaded TH Gaurd and restatred it, and this time it also showed as an unregistered copy.
I decided to go back to the TrojanHunter 4.5 folder assumeing that there would now be  
a "License.tlf" and a "Licenseold.tlf" file, and found that there was only the "Licenseold.tlf".
There was no new "License.tlf" there. I assume there should have been.
I renamed Licenseold.tlf back to License.tlf and tried starting TH again. While it does show me as the registered owner agian,  
it is back to saying that my subscription is expired. But at least my ruleset shows 2006 - 05 - 05
so thanks for that.
Anyway I hope this info helps in some way.

Also I have to report that every time I run TH Scanner now My system hangs.
Any Ideas?
I run an up to date copy of win XP SP2.  
I use Kaspersky AV Personal 5.0.527 &
Zone Alarm Pro 5.5.094.000
which are always running.
When I start TH it seems to be running fine but after a while everything hangs, at least the display does. I cant even use my mouse. I can however ctrl-alt-delete to pop up task manager and I see that TH is using 99% of my cpu. I use end task to end the process, thinking that it would free up the cpu but nothing changes except that now explorer.exe is now using 99% of my cpu. If I use endtask on that, I lose my desktop and start menu and have to reboot anyway.
I have tried to run TH 3 times today. With the same results each time.
is anyone else having trouble with the new ver. of TH?

Do you have "Protect against unauthorized shutdowns" active in THGuard?  If so, uncheck this option and see if makes any difference.  It is possible that the code injection used by this specific option is causing a conflict in your system.

Any time you abort Explorer.exe or if it self aborts for any other reason, the system loses the desktop, quicklaunch, etc., from the abort.  
 
Does this hang occur on a specific file or folder everytime?  Do you have any .rar files on your system?

for my TH 4.5. I have tried all advices provided at the TH Forum e.g.
updating to latest build (I am running 922), requesting and
reinstalling license etc..
 
However, I am afraid, I still cannot use the LiveUpdate because every
time I do this I am informed that my license has expried and I am
offered to visit the subscription renewal page. I have emailed support regarding this issue but I wonder if anything else can be tried to deal with this problem.

I sincerely apologize for all the problems you are having with the license file.  I know of nothing else that users can do who are having this problem other than wait for Mischel staff to either respond via email or to come on the forum and provide a solution.  
 
I feel confident that it is being worked on, but I am no better informed than you concerning what the solution is or when it will be resolved.   Embarassed
